Andrew Mugalu's C-Care machine to milk Gulu patients

C-Care has opened an advanced radiology department in Northern Uganda with modern X-ray equipment and a 64-slice CT scan machine. The facility enables doctors to produce detailed images of internal organs, bones, and soft tissue for diagnosis and treatment monitoring. General Manager Andrew Mugalu said a 250 kV transformer was installed to ensure stable power for the equipment.

The company plans to complete a 65-bed hospital in Gulu by January 2026. Professor Mwaka Deogratius praised the new CT scan while urging management to keep services affordable for northern residents. Gulu City Mayor Alfred Okwonga said the investment reduces travel costs and distances for patients seeking specialized imaging services. He recommended hiring local medical consultants to build community trust and ensure long-term sustainability.
