Anonymous Global South outs Biman Airlines sex cargo corruption empire

A hacker group called Anonymous Global South released a shocking video about Biman Bangladesh Airlines. The group says the national airline has become a den of corruption and abuse. Journalist Zulkarnain Saer shared the 52-minute video on Facebook after receiving it from the hackers. The investigation started two years ago when a female worker sent an email about harassment. She disappeared before anyone could help her.

The hackers claim pilots cheated during recruitment tests between 2019 and 2020. Captain Sajid Ahmed allegedly leaked job ads early to friends and hired his wife with fake papers. His wife lost her license later but the damage was done. Captain Ishtiak Hossain supposedly used government money for London trips and got his son a job. The video calls this network a disease of favoritism.

Biman flights carried over 756 kilograms of gold between 2013 and 2015 according to the group. Drug smuggling also happens regularly through cargo flights. One flight to Australia had 12 kilograms of amphetamines hidden inside. The hackers say Shawqat Ali helped traffickers use fake crew passes to move people through Libya.

Female pilots face constant harassment from male colleagues. Nine out of 15 women pilots filed complaints about abuse and threats. None of these cases led to real punishment for the accused men. The video names specific captains and crew members who allegedly attacked female workers. Anonymous Global South promises to release more evidence if Bangladesh forms an independent investigation committee.
