Apex Legends Prodigy Season Drops Rogue Archer Chaos

Respawn Entertainment announced that their Apex Legends Prodigy season starts May 6. The new season brings Sparrow, a character free for all players during the first two weeks. Players can keep him permanently by finishing special challenges that test their game skills. Sparrow, whose real name is Enea Davide Guarino, comes from a famous bounty hunter family known for archery and strict rules. He joins the Apex Games hoping to earn back his family's respect after they rejected him.

Sparrow has three main abilities players can use. His Double Jump lets players leap twice in the air and reach the top of walls faster. His Tracker Dart shows enemies moving through an area. His Stinger Bolt creates a damaging energy field, hitting multiple targets at once. The Bocek Compound Bow returns with new Explosive Arrows made from Frag Grenades. Arena matches change with shorter games, weapon bans after selection, special discounts, and health items available at round start.

Ranked play changes how players start each season. Starting rank now depends on past skill rather than automatic Bronze placement after missing a season. New Ranked Challenges and Ladders give players more goals to reach. A new 1v1 Arena called Duels arrives later in the season. These updates come after Respawn Entertainment faced major staff cuts affecting both the Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi teams.
