Apple Overhauls iOS 19 with VisionOS Design

Apple changes their software looks often, and people never fully agree about it. Big updates are coming to iOS 19 and macOS 16 this year. Mark Gurman and other trusted experts say the new design borrows ideas from VisionOS. These ideas came first on the Vision Pro headset.

We can see early signs in iOS 18 with its round icons in the control center. Before this, Apple used square icons with curved edges instead. No one knows if all app icons will become round in future updates. Mac systems already had round icons years ago until Catalina came out.

Apple brings back old design ideas every few years like clockwork. The new systems will add more see-through parts to the screen. Some users will love the fresh look, but others will miss the old design. This happens every time a company changes its software.

You can expect to see iOS 19 and macOS 16 at WWDC 25 this summer. The wait for a first peek at these systems is almost over. Apple will show off all the new features during this event. These changes may reshape how Apple devices work for the next few years.
