Apple patents the all glass iPhone you are guaranteed to shatter

Apple approaches the twentieth anniversary of its original iPhone launch with ambitious design plans for 2027. The company filed a patent application with the USPTO describing an electronic device encased in glass across all six surfaces. This revolutionary design aims to eliminate visible cutouts while creating a seamless appearance through advanced manufacturing techniques.

The patent details reveal two separate glass components that work together to form the complete enclosure. Engineers plan to incorporate varying thickness levels across different regions of the device to maintain structural integrity. The design accommodates necessary openings for microphones and speakers while preserving the uniform glass aesthetic.

Advanced display technology will extend content presentation to every edge of the device. Touch sensitivity capabilities will function across these edge surfaces as well. Apple expects this groundbreaking design to debut with the anniversary model, marking two decades since the company transformed mobile technology forever.
