Apple Will Not Move iPhone Production to US Over High Cost

Apple makes most of its money from iPhones. No matter what else they sell, these small devices bring in cash like nothing else. They help Apple stay on top of the tech world. The company builds these phones in places like China, Vietnam, and India. Workers there earn less money than American workers. This setup lets Apple ship millions of phones each year with fat profit margins.

Many experts believe Apple will never make iPhones in America despite Trump's new taxes. Setting up factories here would cost way more than keeping them abroad. Someone claimed online that these new taxes might push iPhone prices up to $3,500. Mark Gurman from Bloomberg quickly shot down this idea as wrong. He firmly stated that Apple will not move phone manufacturing to the US under any situation.

Max Tech YouTuber Vadim Yuryev added an important point about American workers. He thinks they might struggle with the boring, repetitive tasks needed for making phones all day long. Plus, US laws require much higher pay than what workers receive in Asia. If Apple tried making phones here, they would make fewer units and need to charge customers more because of higher worker pay.

Apple can make some products in America but not iPhones. Those other items need fewer people because they sell in smaller numbers. When Foxconn prepared for the iPhone 16 launch, they hired 50,000 extra workers. Each person got a $1,050 bonus just for starting the job. That amount seems tiny by American standards. US workers would expect much more money for the same work.

Building iPhones takes thousands of people working long hours doing the same tasks over and over. The current system works because labor costs stay low in other countries. Even though Apple promised to invest $500 billion in America over four years, they never mentioned bringing iPhone production here. The math simply doesn't work out. Making iPhones in the US would either bankrupt Apple or force it to sell phones at prices almost nobody would pay.
