Apple's fourth iOS 26 beta targets stability, Liquid Glass bugs

Apple distributed the fourth developer beta versions of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26 to registered developers. Developers must connect their Apple ID accounts to their Developer profiles to access these updates through device Settings applications. The software updates arrive ahead of the anticipated September public release timeline. These beta versions address bugs and performance issues while introducing stability improvements. Apple continues testing major platform changes before widespread distribution.

The iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 updates feature the prominent Liquid Glass interface redesign alongside numerous system enhancements. Developers can install these builds on compatible iPhone and iPad devices through the General Software Update section. The macOS Tahoe 26 beta delivers identical visual changes to Mac computers while adding productivity tools and performance optimizations. Apple recommends installing beta software on secondary devices to prevent disruption of primary workflows. The company plans to release public beta versions following the completion of developer testing phases.
