APU Software revamps TrueGain suite with Vibe check mode and fixes

APU just pushed a massive 5.0 update for their whole suite of mastering plugins. The big overhaul includes a fresh interface across the board for tools like TrueGain, Loudness Contour, and the Loudness Meter, plus new features and a pile of bug fixes. Registered users get all this for free.

The update adds a new Vibe Check mode to the compressor and dynamics optimizer. Several plugins now support a negative look-ahead function, and the compressor's double-click default for look-ahead is improved. They also restored some specific ECMA-418 loudness presets across the compressor, optimizer, and limiter.

A bunch of technical glitches got squashed. This includes fixing unreliable Loudness Range readings during file load in the meter, eliminating audio artifacts in long sessions, and preventing the sidechain from causing overs in the peak limiters. The high-pass filter option is now permanently enabled in both Contour and TrueGain, alongside general filter quality improvements. Other tweaks adjust the limiter's threshold display and the meter's default target range.
