Aqua Computer Ampinel device stops GPU melting with an alarm

Aqua Computer will begin shipping Ampinel in mid-November at $93.58 before taxes and shipping costs. The German cooling equipment manufacturer designed the device to prevent 12VHPWR connector failures on graphics cards by actively balancing the current across six 12-volt lines, each rated at 7.5 amperes. A microcontroller and six-channel load balancer redistribute electrical current when imbalances occur, and an OLED display shows real-time current measurements while RGB lighting and an 85-decibel alarm provide warnings.

The device operates independently of software through an eight-level alarm system configurable via Aquasuite. Users can program responses from application shutdowns to complete power cutoffs when thresholds are exceeded. Aqua Computer will offer a white version after the initial release, and preorders will open soon for customers seeking protection against high-end GPU connector failures.
