Armed gang raids Akatsi drink depot, steals cash

Armed robbers just hit a drink depot in a violent daytime heist. A group of over seven men attacked a popular business at a junction in Akatsi. They fired warning shots and assaulted the owner, Doris Ahiable, during the robbery. The thieves forced her to hand over the entire day's sales revenue before escaping.

An employee said one attacker demanded cash and struck him for hesitating. Workers and the owner ran for cover, with some hiding inside a warehouse to survive. They described the terrifying event as a direct threat to their lives. Local security personnel and municipal officials visited the scene to begin an investigation.

The depot owner is currently receiving treatment at a medical facility. Authorities confirmed no deaths or gunshot wounds resulted from the attack. Police have opened a case but report no arrests so far. The stolen amount remains unspecified as the inquiry continues.
