Asante Kotoko Weighs Options for Interim Coach Karim Zito's Future

Asante Kotoko wants more time before choosing their next permanent coach. The team's communication chief Sarfo Duku says they need to look at different choices first. Karim Zito has been running the team since the middle of the season after their old coach left.

Zito helped Kotoko win their tenth FA Cup trophy against Golden Kick with a 2-1 score. The victory made history for the club and showed what the interim coach could do. Duku thinks Zito has good experience and skills to take the team to African competitions.

The club leaders want to read Zito's technical report before making their final choice. They plan to talk about all their options and see which one works best for Kotoko. Management believes careful planning will help them pick the right person for the job.

Two players have already left the team after their contracts ended. Goalkeeper Frederick Asare and midfielder Michael Kyei Dwamena both said goodbye to Kotoko. Several other players will probably leave the club over the next few days as their deals expire.
