Atiku blasts Tinubu, says revenue counts more than lives in Adamawa attack

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar demanded that President Bola Tinubu's government address security challenges with the same intensity applied to revenue collection. His statement responded to Tuesday's insurgent assault on Wagga Mongono community within Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State. Four people died during the violence while many others sustained injuries as attackers destroyed residential buildings, commercial establishments and religious facilities.

The Peoples Democratic Party's 2023 presidential candidate expressed frustration with government security promises that produce minimal results. Citizens grow weary of administrative claims regarding safety improvements while violent incidents continue across Nigerian communities. Atiku emphasized that productive citizens generate the revenue streams government celebrates, yet their protection receives inadequate attention from federal authorities.
