Aubameyang terminates Saudi deal for sensational Marseille return

Olympique Marseille confirmed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has rejoined the club after he departed from Saudi Arabian side Al-Qadisiyah. The Gabonese forward terminated his contract with the Middle Eastern team to complete a free transfer back to France. Marseille secured the veteran striker on terms extending through 2027. The 36-year-old previously demonstrated exceptional form during his stint with the Mediterranean club. His earlier campaign produced 30 goals and 11 assists across 50 appearances.

Aubameyang brings extensive European experience from multiple top-flight leagues to his second Marseille tenure. The striker has represented Saint-Étienne, Dijon, Monaco, Lille, Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Barcelona throughout his career. His return strengthens Marseille's attacking options for the upcoming season. The club views his proven goal-scoring ability as valuable for their domestic and continental ambitions. Aubameyang's familiarity with Marseille's system should facilitate his immediate integration into the squad.
