Audeze drops pricier, beefier Maxwell 2 gaming cans

Audeze just dropped their new pricey gaming cans. The Maxwell 2 headset is here, boasting bigger 90mm planar magnetic drivers for better sound and spatial tricks. Audeze says their SLAM tech improves bass, while AI processing cleans up chat audio by killing background noise. Comfort gets a nod with a new padded headband and updated ear cushions.

Battery life is a monster, rated over 80 hours wirelessly. It connects via a low-latency USB-C dongle supporting high-res audio or Bluetooth 5.3. You can also plug in with a 3.5mm jack or USB-C cable. There are two models: one for PlayStation and PC, and another for Xbox and PC with Dolby Atmos. The Xbox version costs more.

The detachable boom mic uses physical and AI noise reduction. The headset itself is not light, weighing 490 grams. Quick charging gives a quarter battery in twenty minutes. The PlayStation model is slightly cheaper than the Xbox variant.
