AudioThing Philicorda Update Turns Vintage Tone Up a Notch

AudioThing just improved their old-school organ software with fresh goodies. The Philicorda version 1.2 adds cool new sound effects like Echo, Phaser, and Flanger. Players will enjoy brand-new sound presets and can finally use their sustain pedals with the instrument. You can run it by itself without needing other music software, and it works perfectly with the latest Apple computers running macOS 15 Sequoia.

This software perfectly copies those classic Philips organs from the 1960s. It matches the warm, clear sound of the transistor circuits found in the later GM751 models that musicians love. The virtual instrument keeps all the original features that made these organs special, including the vibrato effect, spring reverb tank, and dual speaker system.

AudioThing added several modern improvements beyond what the original hardware could do. Users can push the sound into overdrive for extra grit, shape notes with the envelope generator, and adjust technical stuff like signal leakage and bias. They even included those authentic key-click sounds that vintage organ fans appreciate.

The computer version works with all major plugin formats and costs only 29 dollars or euros until March 31st, 2025. After that date, the price returns to 59 dollars or euros. Anyone who already bought it earlier can download this update completely free. For iPad and iPhone users, the iOS version costs $12.95 through the App Store.
