The 21-year-old Australian clocked a personal best 9.98 seconds to win the sprint in Nairobi. Kennedy beat Bayanda Wazala from South Africa and Kenya's Ferdinand Omanyala for the victory. The young sprinter felt amazed when he saw his winning time on the scoreboard. Kennedy had run 6.45 seconds over 60 meters during January competition in Canberra.
