Bahrain users revolt as Aseel Mattar's Batelco Voya eSIM breaks banks

Batelco just launched Voya, a brand new travel service that lets people stay connected anywhere in the world without switching SIM cards. The company made history as the first operator in Bahrain to offer this type of digital roaming solution to everyone, not just their customers. Travelers can use Voya on any mobile network and any phone that supports eSIM technology. The service works across more than 140 countries around the globe. People can get online within minutes after signing up through the Batelco app or website.

The new service starts at just BD2, making it much cheaper than traditional roaming plans. Users simply enter their email address to get the eSIM activated on their device. Voya lets travelers switch between different networks at their destination to find the best signal and internet speeds. The company even throws in free travel insurance for a limited time to sweeten the deal. Setup takes just a few minutes and works on any eSIM-ready smartphone or tablet.

Aseel Mattar from Batelco says the launch shows how the company leads digital innovation in Bahrain. She believes Voya helps both regular business travelers and people who take occasional vacations abroad. The service gives users more control over their mobile costs while traveling internationally. Batelco designed Voya to support smart digital solutions that align with Bahrain's tech-focused national vision. The company continues pushing boundaries in connected services for modern travelers.
