A new Bangladeshi cultural initiative named Rokto Karabi debuted on November 1 at Dhaka's Bishwo Shahitto Kendro. This organization plans to promote literature, music, drama, dance, recitation, and visual arts nationwide. The afternoon launch event received backing from Bashundhara Shuvosangho's Government College of Applied Human Science chapter. Attendees honored national poet Shamsur Rahman, celebrated for his commitment to liberty and human dignity.
Rokto Karabi founder-president Tahera Afroze stated the group represents both an arts body and a broader social movement. She explained that its mission involves shaping young Bangladeshis into imaginative, compassionate, and accountable citizens using artistic disciplines. General Secretary Mousumi Akhtar affirmed art's capacity to transform communities positively. Rokto Karabi will work to safeguard Bangladeshi heritage, host festivals, conduct anti-drug and anti-corruption awareness drives, and provide artistic training. Bangladeshi residents eighteen years or older who embrace the group's goals may join. Leaders expressed confidence that the organization will significantly influence national cultural identity over time.
