Bangladesh A team flies to Darwin, BCB shifts Chattogram T20 dates

Bangladesh Cricket Board announced revised departure plans for the national A squad traveling to Australia. The team will leave Dhaka on August 7 rather than the original August 9 schedule for the Top End T20 Series. This tournament represents the second time Bangladesh has participated in Darwin's mid-August competition. Officials adjusted domestic preparation matches to accommodate the earlier flight arrangements. The modification affects various training schedules across multiple venues.

Organizers rescheduled the HP versus A team T20 series from August 1, 3, and 5 to July 31, August 1, and August 3. All three matches will take place under lights at Chattogram's cricket facility. These games serve as final preparation for players selected in the Top End T20 squad. HP cricketers have maintained training camps since June 10 under coach David Hemp's supervision. The preparatory series provides competitive practice before international departure.

The HP unit will remain active after the T20 series concludes with a four-day internal match. Their training camp continues until August 12 before a scheduled break period. Activities resume in Rajshahi following the rest interval for NCL T20 preparation. Fitness assessments occur on August 5 and 6 at Mirpur before the domestic tournament begins. Players must pass these evaluations to maintain tournament eligibility.
