Bangladesh Police Expands Online General Diary Service Nationwide

Bangladesh Police will launch expanded digital services Tuesday across Dhaka and Mymensingh areas. Citizens can file any type of General Diary report through online systems at all police stations. The service covers 134 stations and adds to existing coverage under Sylhet Range, Sylhet Metropolitan Police, Chattogram Range and Chattogram Metropolitan Police areas. Police headquarters announced the expansion Monday as part of efforts to make services easier under chief adviser direction.

The online system previously accepted only lost item and recovery reports. Officials have expanded the platform to handle every kind of General Diary entry. Citizens must download the Online GD app from Google Play Store and register once before using the service. Police provide 24-hour phone support at 01320001428 for registration help and filing assistance.

Enamul Haque Sagar serves as Assistant Inspector General for Media and Public Relations at Police Headquarters. He stated that Bangladesh Police wants to improve how citizens access police services. The department plans to introduce online General Diary filing across other ranges and metropolitan areas nationwide. Officials will roll out the digital service gradually to cover more regions. The expansion represents continued efforts to modernize police operations and citizen interactions.
