Bangladesh reports 11 new COVID-19 cases with no deaths in latest update

Bangladesh health officials counted eleven fresh coronavirus cases during the past day. The country's infection numbers climbed to over twenty million confirmed cases since the pandemic began. Medical workers tested three hundred thirty-four people for the virus between Sunday and Monday morning. The positive test rate hit just over three percent for that twenty-four hour period.

Death numbers stayed the same as no one died from COVID during the latest reporting cycle. The total death count remains at twenty-nine thousand five hundred twenty-three people. However, twenty-four people have died from the virus since January started this year. The overall death rate based on confirmed cases sits at just under one and a half percent.

Health experts track these numbers every day to watch how the virus spreads across Bangladesh. The testing rate shows about thirteen percent of all tests come back positive overall. Officials release these updates each morning to keep the public informed about virus trends. The government continues monitoring the situation as new cases appear regularly throughout the nation.
