The PTA at Bawku Senior High School dropped off a Nissan Navara pickup and 400 desks, but chairman Abugri Haruna warned kids that breaking stuff means paying out of pocket. The school board backed his stance that students caught wrecking property face consequences.
Headmaster Bukari Abugbilla said the desks solve overcrowding problems and help students concentrate better during class. The PTA has already built staff apartments, fixed bathrooms, bought bus tires, and installed air conditioners in the computer lab over the past couple of years.
Haruna promised the group would keep helping out to make sure teachers and students have decent facilities to work with.
