His tough new stance came during his first major work trip since becoming the top official. Security council members joined him as he marched through problem areas where miners had been destroying everything. The team started their investigation at Teshie village where mining had gotten completely out of control.

Houses and walking paths suffered major damage from all the digging and dirty water. Public bathrooms became unusable because of mining waste flowing everywhere. Blocked water channels created terrible flooding that could spread deadly diseases through the community.
