Bawumia's 2028 campaign in chaos as Duker's appointment divides the Western Region

The race for the next NPP leader just gained momentum with a major appointment. George Mireku Duker landed the top campaign job for the Western Region. Chris Larbi made the announcement on Western Diamond TV yesterday. Duker will run the show for Bawumia's presidential bid. The former Tarkwa-Nsuaem MP brings serious political muscle to the team.

Larbi praised Duker's track record and dedication to the cause. The NPP communication team member believes Duker has what it takes to deliver results. His main task involves organizing all campaign activities across the Western Region. Party workers must rally behind their new coordinator. Victory depends on everyone working together for the same goal.

Duker knows the political game inside and out. He started as a government aide back in 2007. President Kufuor picked him to lead Tarkwa-Nsuaem as chief executive the following year. Parliament became his next stop when voters elected him in 2017. His eight-year run as MP ended earlier this year.

The mining sector knows Duker well from recent campaign work. Bawumia trusted him to connect with mining communities during the 2024 election battle. His experience as Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources helps with voter outreach. Regional party activists need to back their new leader. Success means putting Bawumia in the presidential palace come 2028.
