Two additional candidates withdrew from the Bangladesh Cricket Board election on Friday and Saturday, raising fresh questions about the integrity of the Oct. 6 vote. Legends of Rupganj chairman Lutfor Rahman Badal abandoned his bid at midnight on Friday, and Rajshahi Division councillor Hasibul Alam followed on Saturday morning. Hasibul accused his opponent of concealing Rajshahi councillors in a hotel in Dhaka and preventing voter contact. The withdrawals follow 16 earlier departures from the race, such as former captain Tamim Iqbal.
