BCB to host tea meeting with DPL clubs to shape future

Bangladesh's cricket administration will gather with Dhaka Premier Division participants at The Westin Dhaka to address tensions threatening the domestic league's stability. Board President, Md. Amirul Islam summoned club presidents and general secretaries for discussions spanning athlete protection, organizational oversight and competitive standards.

Forty-three Dhaka franchises declared a boycott following recent board elections, forcing the postponement of the First Division tournament. The Cricketers' Welfare Association has mediated between administrators and dissenting organizations, with representatives meeting Bulbul and other officials to broker peace.

Another session will bring together 76 clubs alongside board and welfare association delegates to resolve disputes imperiling the competition's future. Authorities hope dialogue will restore collaboration and preserve the league's status as the foundation for national team development.
