A police officer killed a man and cut up his body to hide the crime. Constable Blessed Moyo works at Malalume Police Base in Bulilima village. He put body parts inside a toilet behind the local clinic. The dead man was a suspect Moyo had arrested for stealing food.
Melisa Ndlovu caught someone taking things from her house during February. The thief ran away but Moyo found him later and brought him back. Village people said the arrested man seemed mentally ill and came from Binga area. Moyo beat the suspect with sticks and tools until he admitted to stealing.
Workers found a skull and bones buried in the toilet during May. They also discovered handcuffs and a bloody knife near the remains. Village people called traditional healers to learn what happened to the missing person. The healers revealed that Moyo had murdered the suspect after beating him.
