Africa Trust has delivered a game-changing footbridge to two isolated Zimbabwean villages that desperately needed better connectivity. The nonprofit organization spent thirty thousand dollars constructing the vital crossing over the Odzi River. Remote communities in Nyatsanza and Manyau had suffered through years of seasonal isolation whenever heavy rains turned their waterway into an impassable barrier. More than four thousand residents found themselves completely cut off from schools, hospitals, and essential services during these flooding periods. Professor Innocent Benza partnered with the organization to make the project possible.
Village children can finally reach their classrooms regardless of weather conditions thanks to the newly completed structure. Medical teams and social workers will have year-round access to Ward 17 communities that previously remained unreachable for months at a time.
