BJP's Gupta assails Bihar opposition after court win

The Supreme Court rejected an interim stay request regarding the publication of Bihar's draft electoral roll following the Special Intensive Revision process. Opposition parties faced criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party for allegedly spreading misinformation among voters. BJP spokesperson Rohan Gupta defended the Election Commission's work and praised the democratic achievement of collecting 7.24 crore voter forms from a total of 7.89 crore eligible citizens. The remaining 65 lakh voter names have been compiled and distributed to political parties for review.

Gupta challenged critics to present evidence of procedural violations during the revision process. The spokesperson emphasized that parties received adequate time to address concerns about missing registrations. He questioned the basis for continued opposition protests after the court's decision. Gupta called upon rival parties to cease their institutional criticism and issue public apologies. The BJP leader stressed that constitutional bodies deserve respect rather than unfounded accusations from political opponents seeking electoral advantages.
