BLAST locks in logistics muscle for globe-trotting esports

BLAST just hired heavy movers to haul their massive gaming circus globally. The tournament organizer secured a multi-year contract with freight specialist EFM Global to manage complex transport logistics. This deal establishes EFM as the official shipping partner for the 2026 season and beyond. They handle end-to-end management for equipment and production gear across more than twenty international events annually.

The agreement requires transporting eighteen tons of air cargo per tournament alongside sea containers and road vehicles. This massive operation moves server farms and broadcast systems between countries. EFM receives logo placements on streams plus bespoke content features on social media. BLAST intends to produce an aftermovie highlighting exactly how they transport this tier-one infrastructure.

Commercial director James Brown hyped the firm as the gold standard for event logistics. VP Marcel Meyer explained that esports creates unique complexity because it fuses elite competition with touring production. He noted that teams bring huge support crews, which drives technical expectations. Their first job hits during the Counter-Strike 2 BLAST Open in Rotterdam this March.

This partnership follows recent expansions into places like India and Malta. BLAST works with publishers such as Valve and Epic Games on titles like Rocket League and Rainbow Six. EFM brings twenty-five years of experience to the table while entering the high-pressure world of competitive gaming logistics.
