BMW crash accused Gaganpreet Kaur jailed as court delays bail

A Delhi magistrate extended Gaganpreet Kaur's detention until October 11 during Saturday proceedings. The 38-year-old defendant awaits a bail ruling in the fatal BMW crash case. Judicial Magistrate Ankit Garg scheduled the bail decision for later Saturday after hearing arguments Thursday.

Prosecutors charge Kaur with culpable homicide and reckless driving after her vehicle struck a motorcycle in Dhaula Kuan. Finance Ministry official Navjot Singh died from injuries while his wife sustained serious harm. Authorities question why victims went to Nulife Hospital in GTB Nagar rather than closer facilities.

The prosecution claims the hospital belongs to Kaur's family member. Investigators submitted security camera footage from the collision date. The magistrate reviewed video evidence during Thursday's session before reserving judgment on the bail application.
