Boarders Storm Back to School in Epic Rush

Boarding school students headed back to classes on Monday before the second term starts on Tuesday across Zimbabwe. Parents gathered at pickup locations in Harare to send off their children with advice about working hard at school. Many families struggled with school preparation costs but prioritized education for their children. Students expressed excitement about starting classes again after their holiday break. Form four learners face their final term before O-level examinations. Schools promised parents value for their money through quality education. Samuel Centenary Academy focuses on developing students academically, spiritually, and through extracurricular activities. The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education restricts extra lessons to examination classes with official permission. Parents appreciate schools that maintain standard educational practices without additional fees.

Deputy Minister Angeline Gata clarified that regular students should learn during normal class hours. She asked parents to report unauthorized extra lessons to the Ministry. Schools must stop pressuring families to purchase expensive uniforms. Several parents continued last-minute shopping for school materials ahead of Tuesday's classes. Teachers prepared classrooms to welcome students for a productive academic term.
