Bournemouth crushes Fulham after choking 1-0 lead

Bournemouth rallied from a deficit to defeat Fulham 3-1 on Friday and claim second place in the Premier League table. Antoine Semenyo netted twice for the hosts, who have remained unbeaten through six matches since their opening weekend loss to Liverpool. Ryan Sessegnon put Fulham ahead in the 70th minute, but Semenyo equalized eight minutes later by slotting the ball through goalkeeper Bernd Leno's legs from a tight angle.

Justin Kluivert gave Bournemouth the advantage with a long-range strike in the 84th minute before Semenyo completed the scoring in stoppage time. The result extended Fulham's troubling pattern of squandering leads, as the team has lost five of its last eight matches after taking the lead. Fulham sits in 11th place after dropping points from winning positions more frequently than any club except Brentford since last season.
