Buganda King Flies Off for Secret Health Checks

The Kabaka of Buganda flew overseas for medical care. King Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II left Uganda to meet with his doctors abroad. Prime Minister Charles Peter Mayiga said the king remains stable and healthy. The trip helps his ongoing treatment that doctors provide at home. Kingdom officials drove the king to Entebbe airport before his departure.

People started worrying about the king's health during 2021. He looked sick at his 66th birthday party at Mengo palace. Many subjects felt scared and asked questions about his condition. The kingdom sends regular updates to calm worried citizens. Medical teams from Uganda and other countries watch his health closely.

Mayiga asked people to pray for the king's recovery. The kingdom keeps the king's medical information private from the public. Officials refused to share where he traveled or what treatments he receives. The king tells his people about his health when he wants to share news. Kingdom leaders say protecting the king's health matters most to them.
