Buganda minister warns against HIV complacency

Minister tells people to stop ignoring HIV risks while forcing kids into science classes because Cotilda Nakate Kikomeko warned Buganda residents against getting too comfortable with the virus. The official spoke at St. Kizito Kyengeza Health Centre in Busujju County during a massive health camp celebrating twenty-five years of service. She insisted that having prevention tools available does not mean everyone can relax and act recklessly.

She also told parents to push their children toward STEM subjects for future development. The event featured medical staff from various facilities offering screening and counseling. Bishop Anthony Zziwa was scheduled to lead prayers while locals received treatment for various ailments.

David Muwonge pointed out that lifestyle diseases are wrecking people in the area. He highlighted issues like high blood pressure, diabetes, and prostate cancer as major burdens. The coordinator urged everyone to exercise more and get checked regularly instead of waiting until things get critical.

Rev. Fr. Lazarus Kigundu claimed the parish takes preventive care seriously as a foundation for a dignified life. Organizers Kasujju and Mark Jjingo Kaberenge praised the cultural institution for actually investing in public well-being. They believe this outreach proves the leadership cares about regular citizens.

Joan Nabawanuka from MU-JHU Care Ltd dropped some science regarding a new HIV prevention shot tested in Mityana District. She explained that this injection gets administered twice a year and works effectively against infection. She suggested that combining this tech with responsible behavior could finally reduce transmission rates.
