Bulawayo Chiefs clinch promotion to PSL despite eligibility dispute

Bulawayo Chiefs earned promotion to Zimbabwe's top soccer division after defeating Bosso 90 by 2-1 at Chiefs Village on Sunday. The victory pushed the Ninjas to 76 points with two matches remaining, securing automatic advancement one season after relegation from the Premier League.

Anesu Saiti and Lewis Milanzi scored for Chiefs before supporters celebrated the return to elite competition. Coach John Nyikadzino joined the team after 10 matches and expressed satisfaction with the campaign results.

The club faces a disciplinary hearing over Saiti's eligibility after Hwange and Nkayi United filed complaints with the regional soccer association. The clubs claim Saiti violated transfer rules by appearing for Bulawayo City and Chiefs against Hwange within the same season after his parent club, Black Mambas, terminated his contract.
