Cam Skattebo drops $30K on high school gear

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo donated more than $30,000 to the Elmwood High School football program in Ohio, where his older brother Leo serves as offensive coordinator. The rookie provided X-tech shoulder pads valued at $599.99 per set, and Rogue Fitness push sleds for player training and safety.

Skattebo previously partnered with Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers in Phoenix to raise $6,600 for Phoenix Children's Hospital through Skatteburger sales. He also supplied signed memorabilia for a fundraising raffle to support the program's financial requirements.

The fourth-round draft pick rushed for 79 yards on 25 carries against the Chargers in Week 4. Skattebo recorded 1,711 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns at Arizona State in his final college season, and added 605 receiving yards with three scores.

The Giants face the Saints in Week 5, and New Orleans ranks 16th in rushing defense. Skattebo entered the Chargers matchup with touchdowns in consecutive games, but his red-zone scoring streak ended despite increased offensive responsibilities.
