A delegation from the High Commission of Canada to Bangladesh visited American International University-Bangladesh on Sept. 29, 2025. The team was led by Debra Boyce, Counsellor and Senior Trade Commissioner, and Quazi Gulam Farhad, Trade Commissioner.
The delegation met with AIUB management and senior officials, including Ishtiaque Abedin, Founder Member of the Board of Trustees and Secretary General of APUB; Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Treasurer; Dr. Mohammad Zahidul Islam Khan, Registrar; Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean-in-Charge, Faculty of Business Administration; Prof. Dr. S. A. M. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor; and other AIUB officials.
Discussions centered on potential academic collaborations between AIUB and Canadian universities, with a focus on student exchange, faculty engagement, and joint research. Both sides expressed interest in strengthening global partnerships and expanding opportunities for AIUB students.
