Capcom cancels Monster Hunter Wilds CEDEC lecture after developer threats

Angry gamers scared Capcom away from a major gaming conference. The company pulled out of a planned talk about fixing Monster Hunter Wilds on computers. Developers were supposed to explain their work at the Computer Entertainment Developers Conference 2025 event. The lecture would have covered how they tried to make the game run better on different machines. Capcom decided to protect their workers from nasty threats.

Monster Hunter Wilds has crashed and burned on PC since it came out. Players keep complaining about terrible performance and bugs that ruin their gaming experience. The company knows about these problems and keeps trying to patch things up. Recent updates helped some issues but left many others untouched. Frustrated fans turned their anger toward the people making the game.

Individual team members started getting personal threats from mad players. The harassment got bad enough that Capcom had to make an official statement about it. The company said they listen to player feedback but will not tolerate threats against their staff. They warned that serious cases will go to police and courts. Capcom plans to press criminal charges against people who cross the line.
