Someone set fire to several cars last night near businesses owned by big shots Wicknell Chivayo and Kudakwashe Tagwirei in Zimbabwe. These attacks happened across Harare after dark when nobody was around. People nearby saw three different vehicles covered with gas and burned up outside important business buildings. The flames sent smoke high into the night air all across the capital city.
One attack happened right outside Chivayo's new Intratek company headquarters. Another car burned at a place connected to Tagwirei. A third vehicle went up in flames at a DA gas station that many people say belongs to Tinoda Machakaire. All three business owners have strong connections to the government party running Zimbabwe.
The famous reporter Hopewell Chin'ono shared a video showing burning cars sitting at the entrance gates of these properties. He mentioned that buildings belonging to Tagwirei, John Mangudya, Machakaire, and Chivayo all faced attacks from unknown men during the night. These attackers drenched cars with gasoline before lighting them up.
The timing seems interesting because just hours earlier, war veteran Blessed Geza had called these exact businessmen "criminals around the president" in public statements. The police have not said whether they know who did this or why they picked these specific locations. Nobody has claimed responsibility for the coordinated firebomb attacks yet.
