Carve Audio serves up Smashburger Compressor with analog heat and FET punch

Carve Audio dropped the Smashburger Compressor, and the plugin brings FET-style compression together with some analog warmth while keeping the interface dead simple. The fixed-threshold setup lets you push the input knob to get compression going, and the attack plus release controls give you a range from quick transient hits to smooth glue compression. A Shaper tool either punches up or softens the attack before or after the compression stage, and the harmonic section has tube plus tape circuits that fatten everything up.

The tube circuit adds low-end weight without getting harsh, and the tape mode thickens the sound with some saturation plus harmonic smoothing thrown in. Wet/dry mixing handles parallel compression without extra routing, and oversampling options go up to 16x for cleaner processing. The intro price sits at 29 bucks before jumping to the regular 79 dollar tag, and it works on Mac or Windows in all the standard formats.
