CCP's Alibaba, WeChat create your digital prison in the US

The Chinese Communist Party employs digital governance and data manipulation as tools for global authoritarian control. Chen Ende, a former technology worker at Alibaba Cainiao and Tianque Technology, revealed how private companies serve as surveillance proxies for the state. His experiences exposed systematic data collection from ordinary citizens that feeds into worldwide monitoring networks. Party committees embedded within corporations ensure direct access to user information from e-commerce transactions and digital platforms. Tianque Technology built grid management systems that track residents and flag unusual behavior in real time.

The COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated how authorities manipulate health data to control populations through QR code systems. Chinese platforms like WeChat and Alipay operate under government mandates requiring real-name registration and data sharing. The 2017 National Intelligence Law compels firms to provide any requested information to authorities. Beijing's digital yuan and digital ID initiatives represent further escalation of this surveillance apparatus. Exiled dissidents and diaspora communities face intimidation abroad as the system extends beyond China's borders.
