CEA named Gary Tibbett games, esports, and partnerships lead

A guy who began as a projects officer helps shape the standards esports education runs on these days. Gary Tibbett picked up a fresh title at the Centre for Entertainment Arts, becoming Director of Games, Esports & Industry Partnerships after roughly a year steering esports there.

CEA builds curriculum around 3D animation, VFX, and game development, skipping the campus model entirely and teaming with public colleges and universities to deliver the training.

His LinkedIn post framed the last twelve months as the best stretch of a decade-plus career, citing programs built from nothing alongside deals struck with universities, esports federations, and government bodies spanning the Middle East, North America, and East Asia. That new title bundles three lanes he's been juggling anyway.

Before this, nearly six years went into British Esports, climbing through education management before landing as Head of Partnerships. LUCENT had him advising and sitting on its board for a stretch.

He carries advisory work as an Esports Expert with ISO and the British Standards Institution as well, both riding alongside the main gig.
