CenBa Africa links with royalty to mentor next-gen leaders

The CenBa Africa Business Excellence Awards just held its seventh ceremony. The head of the scheme, Emmanuel Fosu-Kwarteng, spoke at the Golden Bean Hotel event. He said the awards have honored visionary leaders across Africa for eight years. CABEA is the first Ghanaian awards program accredited by a UK standards council.

Fosu-Kwarteng explained that the program focuses on value after the ceremony ends. Winners get ongoing training and mentorship to learn industry strategies. They also gain visibility and join a network of business leaders and policymakers. A major partnership with the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation was secured recently. This collaboration aims to push social impact work in areas like education and health.

The awards selection process looks for innovation, real societal impact, and sustainability. It targets people and groups committed to changing the status quo. Fosu-Kwarteng noted the new foundation partnership will launch capacity-building projects. He urged award recipients to use their influence to shape policy and inclusive growth. The event ended with a call for collective action to advance development across Africa.
