Chattogram screens 35 breasts in mass cancer hunt

Chattogram City Corporation launched a month-long breast cancer awareness initiative on Wednesday with support from private medical facility CSCR and postgraduate training institute PGS Academia. The program began with a procession from Chattogram Medical College Hospital to GEC Intersection, and participants opened free screening services at the CSCR auditorium. A five-member medical team led by Dr. Sayra Banu Shiuly examined 35 patients on the first day.

Free consultations will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays throughout October, and registered patients receive half-price diagnostic testing. Chattogram Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain and medical college Principal Professor Md Jasim Uddin attended the opening event.
