A Dhaka court sent former Bangladesh Chhatra League Dhaka South general secretary Md Jubair Ahmed to jail on Wednesday after his remand ended in a murder case from the July Uprising. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sefatullah issued the order when police brought Ahmed before the court and requested jail custody. The court had placed him on a two-day remand on Sept. 29 in the same case.
