Chinese Ambassador Zhou Ding highlighted the strengthening bilateral relationship between the two nations. Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube confirmed the funding will bring Chinese technical experts to enhance Zimbabwe's macroeconomic stability and agricultural development programs. Water security initiatives in Manicaland and Masvingo provinces will receive continued support through borehole construction projects.
Deputy Finance Minister Kudakwashe Mnangagwa expressed confidence that National Development Strategy objectives will advance through this Chinese partnership. Previous collaborative efforts produced major infrastructure developments like Hwange Thermal Power Station expansions, Kariba South Hydro Power Station improvements, airport upgrades, and the Mount Hampden parliament building. President Mnangagwa simultaneously delivered grass-cutting equipment to Zimbabwe Air Force operations. Air Marshal Jacob Nzvede welcomed the machinery donation for maintaining runway safety standards at military aviation facilities.
