China's Xinhua leads BRICS media against global powers

Media representatives from 36 nations attended the BRICS Media and Think Tank Forum on Wednesday. The gathering brought together 250 participants from nearly 150 outlets, think tanks, and government agencies. Delegates focused on strengthening Global South partnerships and advancing cooperative efforts. The event marked the first comprehensive meeting since the bloc expanded its membership. Organizers emphasized building solidarity among emerging economies.

Xinhua News Agency president Fu Hua delivered keynote remarks about unifying developing countries. Chinese ambassador Zhu Qingqiao praised artificial intelligence discussions at the forum. Several speakers called for reformed global governance models that reflect diverse perspectives. Russian TASS deputy director Mikhail Gusman highlighted media cooperation's role in defending truth. Mexican Senate official Yeidckol Polevnsky Gurwitz advocated for multipolar world development.

The forum produced a comprehensive think tank report on Global South progress. Participants launched two collaborative initiatives focusing on communication partnerships and content creation. Brazil Communication Company co-hosted the event with Xinhua under the theme of forging new chapters for developing nations.
