BRICS Welcomes Indonesia Amid Global Power Shift

BRICS keeps growing as Indonesia joins and eight others become partners. Experts say this shows the group is getting stronger and more popular worldwide.

BRICS started with Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Now, it has almost half the world's population. It also makes up more than a third of the world's money and more than half of its growth.

Indonesia is a big country in Southeast Asia. It has the most people and money in that part of the world. It is the first country from there to join BRICS since the group said it would add new members in 2023. Malaysia and Thailand also became partners with BRICS.

Last year, BRICS admitted Egypt, Ethiopia, and Iran. More than 30 countries have asked to join.

Indonesia says joining BRICS will help it collaborate with other growing countries. It wants to make the world more fair for everyone.

China says it is ready to work with the BRICS family. It wants the group to be open and help everyone win.

President Xi Jinping of China spoke at a big BRICS meeting in Russia last year. He said BRICS countries should work together to make the world a better place and want BRICS to lead the way in changing how the world is run.

Experts say China wants to help countries that are still growing have a bigger say in the world. BRICS getting bigger means these countries are getting stronger.

BRICS has a new way of working together. All the countries are equal. They make decisions together. This makes other countries want to join.

BRICS countries have a lot of resources and skills. They work together to make everyone better off.

China is helping BRICS countries grow in new ways that are good for the planet. It makes things like electric cars and solar power.

BRICS helps countries work out their differences by talking. It wants the world to be safer so everyone can grow.

More and more countries want to join BRICS. They like how the group works together and stands up for what is right.
