Chinese biz group drops cash, builds sensory classroom

Chinese investors from the Hunan province operating in Zimbabwe just dropped 50k toward building a specialized classroom block at Chinamano Primary School in Epworth. The facility is aimed at kids with severe disabilities who learn through sensory and physical interaction, and the group's chairman Song Zhuolin made it official during a handover ceremony where they also gave out 4k worth of food hampers.

This is their fourth year doing charity work with the Zimbabwe Parents of Handicapped Children Association, but they decided to switch from throwing parties to something more lasting. The new block will have a classroom, kitchen, showers, and a dining area, with construction expected to kick off in January.

Parents and program managers from the association are hyped about the dedicated space, giving disabled students better access to education. A local councillor gave props to President Mnangagwa for keeping strong ties with China.
